Tension in Assam’s Jorhat after Blinkit employees allegedly raise anti-Modi slogans

Tension gripped Assam’s Jorhat after Blinkit employees allegedly raised slogans in support of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) and against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a BJP public awareness rally, triggering a confrontation between party workers and employees of the quick-commerce company.

Following the incident, a delegation of BJP leaders, including the Jorhat district BJP president, visited Blinkit’s supply office near Nehru Park to seek an explanation over the alleged sloganeering.

The situation reportedly escalated when Blinkit employees began recording videos of the BJP leaders and party workers on their mobile phones, leading to a tense exchange between the two sides.

The confrontation intensified further after allegations surfaced against Blinkit over the alleged destruction of municipal property. Details of the allegations and the circumstances surrounding the reported damage were not immediately available.

Jorhat Police rushed to the spot following the escalation and intervened to bring the situation under control.
