Thieves run riot in Assam's Margherita, locals raise alarm

In the latest spree, thieves struck at Margherita College, stealing a high-end racing bicycle worth Rs 30,000. 
 

The disturbing trend shows no sign of slowing down—whether day or night, miscreants are targeting both bicycles and vehicle wheels, leaving residents anxious and vulnerable. 
 

In a separate incident, the wheels of a parked vehicle were stolen, with the entire act caught on surveillance footage.
 

Locals fear that the 83rd No. Margherita constituency is fast becoming a safe haven for thieves. The stolen bicycle belonged to a teenager who has brought pride to the region through cycling competitions. 
 

The young athlete is heartbroken and has appealed to the police for help in retrieving the prized possession.
