Thousands gather in Assam's Dhubri Eidgah to offer Eid-ul-Fitr prayers

As the country marks Eid al-Fitr today (March 21), people began the day with early morning prayers, celebrating the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

In Dhubri, around 10,000 devotees gathered at the Eidgah ground in Ward No. 11 to offer the Eid prayers in a spirit of unity and devotion. The congregation saw participation not only from across the town but also from nearby areas, making it one of the prominent gatherings in the region.

The Eid sermon (bayan) was delivered by Maulana Abdul Rashid, Imam of Bahadurtary Jame Masjid, who addressed the gathering at the Eidgah Maidan.

The prayers marked the beginning of the celebrations, with people exchanging greetings and embracing the spirit of togetherness, charity, and gratitude that defines the festival.
