Tripura CM Manik Saha emphasizes stronger law enforcement, coordination to tackle drug issues

In a recent law and order review meeting with senior police officers, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha highlighted the state's impressive standing in maintaining law and order, positioning it among the top-performing states in the country.

During the meeting, CM Saha acknowledged the challenges the landlocked state faces due to its proximity to Bangladesh, which has contributed to a persistent drug problem. He emphasized the importance of bolstering coordination between the state police, the Border Security Force (BSF), and other paramilitary forces to effectively combat these issues.

The Chief Minister also urged officials to conduct regular field visits, stressing that a hands-on approach is critical in addressing the state's security concerns. He expressed confidence that the outcomes of the review meeting would yield significant benefits, enhancing the overall effectiveness of law enforcement in Tripura.

"Coordination and on-ground efforts are key to overcoming the challenges we face," CM Saha remarked, reaffirming his government's commitment to maintaining peace and security in the region.
