Two camera rental operators injured in robbery attack in Assam's Jogighopa

Two entrepreneurs from Assam's Dhubri district were allegedly robbed and attacked by a group of miscreants in Jogighopa of Bongaigaon district, police said.
 

The victims, identified as Akidul Momin and Munna Khan, residents of Bilasipara, were engaged in the business of renting DSLR cameras and drone cameras.
 

According to preliminary information, the duo had travelled to Jogighopa after being contacted for a camera rental assignment. The alleged clients had reportedly paid an advance of Rs 4,500 and asked them to bring their equipment to the area near Tamranga-Konara Beel.
 

Upon reaching the location, the two men were allegedly attacked by four unidentified assailants who arrived in two vehicles. The attackers reportedly robbed them of their mobile phones and camera equipment before assaulting them with sharp weapons.
 

Both victims sustained serious injuries in the attack.
 

The injured men alleged that, fearing for their lives, they spent the night hiding in the waters of Tamranga-Konara Beel before seeking help.
 

A complaint has been filed at the Uttar Salmara Police Outpost, and police have launched an investigation into the incident.
 

Officials visited the scene and are working to identify and trace the suspects involved in the robbery.
