            <div class="clearfix text-formatted field field--name-body field--type-text-with-summary field--label-hidden field__item"><p>Two farmers were killed after being struck by lightning while working in their agricultural fields near the Indo-Bangladesh border in Assam’s Dhubri district on September 9.</p>

<p>The incident took place at Kedar Part-III village under the Golokganj sector. The deceased have been identified as Moslem Uddin and Abul Hussain, both residents of the village.</p>

<p>According to local sources, the two farmers had crossed the border fencing through Gate No. 51 to reach their agricultural fields in the no-man’s-land area on the other side of the fence.</p>

<p>While they were working in the fields, a severe thunderstorm hit the area and a lightning strike struck both men. They died on the spot.</p>

<p>After receiving information about the incident, personnel of the Border Security Force (BSF), along with a team from Golokganj Police Station, reached the spot and recovered the bodies.</p>

<p>The bodies were subsequently sent to Dhubri Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem examinations.</p>

<p>The deaths have triggered grief in Kedar Part-III village, with the sudden loss of the two farmers leaving the local community in shock.</p>
