Two schoolboys go missing while bathing in river in Assam's Dhubri

Two Class VII students went missing while bathing in a river near Panchu Ghat in Dhubri town on Saturday, September 12, prompting the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) to launch a search operation.

The missing students have been identified as Sumit Das, a Class VII student of Dhubri Government Boys' Higher Secondary School, and Purav Malla, a Class VII student of Bangla Vidyapith School. Both are residents of the Panchu Ghat area.

According to preliminary information, the two boys had gone to the river to bathe when they were swept away by the strong current and went missing.

After receiving information about the incident, SDRF personnel and local authorities reached the spot and began a search operation.

SDRF divers are searching the river to locate the two students, while police and local officials are monitoring the operation.
