            <div class="clearfix text-formatted field field--name-body field--type-text-with-summary field--label-hidden field__item"><p>An alleged cadre of ULFA (Independent) was arrested during a pre-dawn police operation at Palengi under Dimow in Assam’s Sivasagar district, police said on May 6.<br>

<p>The accused has been identified as Biren Chetia alias Rontu Asom (34), a resident of Bejpathar under the jurisdiction of Moran Police Station.<br>
 </p>

<p>The operation was led by Sivasagar Senior Superintendent of Police Papori Chetia, along with Additional Superintendent of Police Maidul Islam and other district police officials.<br>
 </p>

<p>During the raid, police recovered seven grenades, one bottle grenade, a 9 mm Beretta pistol, 10 rounds of live ammunition, cash amounting to Rs 13,500, mobile phones, and several incriminating documents from the possession of the accused.<br>
 </p>

<p>Police suspect that the accused had taken shelter in the area as part of a possible sabotage plan. Further investigation is underway.</p>
