Unidentified body found near Assam's New Bongaigaon Railway Station

An unidentified body was recovered under suspicious circumstances near the New Bongaigaon Railway Station on July 14, triggering concern among local residents.

The body was found lying in bushes near the railway water tank close to the station. According to reports, local residents first spotted the body and immediately alerted the police.

A police team rushed to the spot, recovered the body and initiated an investigation. The deceased has not yet been identified.

The body has been sent for post-mortem examination to ascertain the cause of death. Police said it is too early to determine whether the case involves murder, suicide or any other circumstances.
