We don’t want votes of Pakistan supporters, only true patriots should vote for us, says Assam minister Pijush Hazarika

Assam Cabinet Minister Pijush Hazarika said that BJP do not want votes of people who are the supporters of Pakistan. He said that only those who are true patriots of India should vote for BJP . Speaking to reporters, Hazarika said that votes should come only from people who love India. He made it very clear that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) does not want votes from anyone who supports Pakistan.

“We need votes of people who are true patriots of India. We don’t need votes from those who are supporters of Pakistan,” said Hazarika. He further added that during the panchayat elections rally in Kaliabor, he asked people if there were any Pakistani supporters among them. The crowd responded with a loud ‘no’, showing that they all condemn the terrorist attack that took place in Pahalgam on April 22. Hazarika said that this proves their love for India.

The minister, who handles several important departments such as Information and Public Relations, Water Resources, and Social Justice & Empowerment, is also the official spokesperson of the Assam government. He praised the work done under the leadership of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. Hazarika said that the BJP government has worked hard for the welfare of the people of Assam and has earned their love and support. “The people of Assam love BJP and Himanta Biswa Sarma. This time, in the Panchayat elections, we will perform very well and achieve great results,” he said.

During his speech, Hazarika also took a sharp dig at Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi. Referring to the citizenship of Gogoi’s children, who reportedly hold British citizenship, Hazarika questioned Gogoi’s love for Assam and India. “If someone gives his children citizenship of England, then it clearly shows how patriotic he really is,” said Hazarika. He expressed serious concern over this and said that such decisions reflect a leader’s true priorities.

The minister did not hold back his criticism. He said that those who love India will vote for BJP, while those who support Pakistan should vote for Congress.

Hazarika also praised the BJP government’s work in Assam. "The BJP government has done a lot of good work. We are proud of it,” he said.
