'We talk about humanity': AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal confident of party's win in Nagaon Bypoll
All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) chief Badruddin Ajmal on Monday, September 15 said his party was confident of winning the upcoming Nagaon by-election, while claiming that both the BJP and Congress would lose the contest.
Speaking in Hojai on September 15, Ajmal said the BJP focused on Hindus, while the Congress did not address the concerns of either Hindus or Muslims. He said the AIUDF, instead, focused on “humanity”.
“We talk about humanity, so we are fully confident that we will win, and the other two parties (BJP and Congress) will lose,” Ajmal said.
Ajmal also announced that he would file his nomination for the Nagaon by-election at 10 am on September 16.
The AIUDF had earlier announced Ajmal as its candidate for the Nagaon bypoll, setting the stage for a contest involving the BJP, Congress and other parties.
