Borooah College for protesting against the cutting of trees outside Rabindra Bhawan in Guwahati. <br>

<p>During the protest, which was sparked by the felling of trees in the area, workers claimed, 'We’re not cutting the trees, just relocating them,' and continued the process.</p>

The students taken into custody so far have been identified as: Nirankush Nath, Utpala Das, Rajdeep Mohanta, Debabrata Saikia, Naushad Rashid, Alok Noroh, Anindita Das, Ankuman Bordoloi, and Dipshikhar Kalita.</p>

They are currently being held at Latasil Police Station and Panbazar Women’s Police Station. </p>

The students had urged authorities to conduct research before relocating trees and provide data on survival rates.</p>
