The people of Assam's Samaguri have been grappling with frequent wild elephant rampage. The wild animals have left numerous houses damaged, with residents struggling to protect their belongings.
Villages like Gendhali, Kuruwabahi, and Bharaguri have reported herds of wild elephants roaming freely day and night, damaging property and spreading fear among villagers.
Despite the alarming situation, only a handful of forest officials are tasked with managing these rampages, leading to ineffective containment efforts.
The villagers have expressed frustration, calling for immediate intervention from authorities to prevent further destruction and ensure safety in the affected areas.
