“Will uplift the people of my constituency and ensure their voices are heard”: BJP candidate Raju Mesh

BJP candidate Raju Mesh received a grand and warm reception in Assam’s Boko-Chaygaon constituency on Saturday, March 21, after being nominated by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

A large rally comprising light vehicles and motorcycles was organised by supporters, stretching from Govardhan in Chaygaon to the BJP office in Boko, before proceeding towards Bondapara. Despite adverse weather conditions, party workers and residents turned out in significant numbers, underscoring the growing momentum behind the NDA candidate.

Along the route, Mesh made several stops to interact with local residents, engaging in brief exchanges and seeking their blessings. The outreach effort highlighted a direct connect with the electorate, as supporters lined the roads to greet him. The rally culminated at the Boko BJP office, from where Mesh later returned home accompanied by party workers and well-wishers.

The show of strength saw participation from several allied and regional groups, including the Rabha Hasong Joint Forum, Asom Gana Parishad (AGP), and other NDA-affiliated organisations, reflecting a coordinated alliance effort in the constituency.

Addressing supporters during the event, Mesh said his nomination symbolised recognition and respect for local communities. He asserted that his candidature represents the aspirations of the people of the region and pledged to work for the rights and welfare of deprived, neglected, and marginalised sections.

“I will dedicate myself to uplifting those who have long been overlooked and ensure their voices are heard,” he said, reiterating his commitment to inclusive development.
