“You took a seizure patient to swim”: Bandmate’s emotional outburst over Zubeen’s death

Partha Pratim Goswami, a close associate and longtime bandmate of late singer Zubeen Garg, has held the artist’s manager Siddharth Sharma and bandmate Shekhar Jyoti Goswami responsible for alleged negligence leading to the tragedy in Singapore.

Speaking emotionally about the incident, Partha Goswami accused the duo of gross carelessness in handling Zubeen’s condition during their stay abroad. He said,

“The biggest negligence and carelessness were from Siddharth and Shekhar. You were always like Zubeen’s shadow, yet you took him—someone who hadn’t slept, had been drinking, and partying all night—to the sea to swim, despite knowing he was a seizure patient. How could you do that?”

Partha alleged that the singer was deprived of rest and was taken to the beach purely for recreational reasons, disregarding his fragile health.

“You didn’t let him sleep and still took him to the sea because you wanted to have fun. Because of this foolish mistake, Zubeen is no more,” he said, visibly distraught.

Expressing his anguish, the bandmate said he would never forgive those responsible for what he described as an avoidable and reckless act.

“Till I die, I will never forgive them for this stupid mistake,” Partha asserted.
