Youth electrocuted near Sivasagar civil hospital, tension erupts

A tragic incident unfolded near the entrance of Sivasagar Civil Hospital after a youth died due to electrocution, triggering tension in the area.

The deceased has been identified as Bitu Das, a resident of Rudrasagar. According to reports, he was engaged in welding work at a roadside shop owned by one Mahabir Das when he came in contact with a high-voltage electric current, reportedly around 11,000 volts.

Sources said Bitu Das, along with a friend, was carrying out welding work at the shop when the accident occurred, leading to his instant death.

The incident has sparked anger among locals, leading to a tense situation in the area. Authorities are monitoring the situation while further investigation into the circumstances surrounding the electrocution is underway.
