Chandigarh: A 10-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped in an empty school building in Haryana by a male and eight minors who videotaped the incident and posted it online, police said.
The crime was only discovered two weeks later after the video became viral on WhatsApp, according to the family. Soon after, a case was filed and the accused was apprehended.

Five of the nine defendants are said to be close family members of the victim.
According to the girl's family's complaint, the incident occurred on May 24 at a village in Rewari district.
According to the sources, the accused kidnapped the girl who was a Class 5 student when she was playing outside her residence.
The family heard about the viral video on June 9 and filed a police report, said police.
The accused allegedly raped the girl at an empty school building in the village.
The 18-year-old recorded the crime and two kids shared it with others, who made it to go viral, police said.
Five of the youngsters accused of rape are between the ages of 10 and 12.
The IPC Sections 376-D and 354-C, the POSCO Act, the Information Technology Act and the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Act have all been utilised to charge the seven accused.
