103 year old man from Mizoram wins battle against COVID-19

AIZAWL: The oldest patient of Mizoram, who was infected with the deadly COVOD-19 has successfully won the battle against the virus.

The 103-year-old man identified as Lalthatchhunga, a resident of Chhingchhip village located in Serchhip Block of Serchhip district, Mizoram.

The 103-year-old recovered after fighting the battle against the infection for at least 17 days.

He was tested positive for the virus on October 11 after taking both doses of COVID-19.

He was in home isolation for 10 days and was taken care of by his family members.

Mizoram currently has 7,766 active cases of the infection while, 422 people have died so far due to the virus.

Three people have succumbed to the infection in the last 24 hours.

1,10,761 people have so far recovered from the disease.

The cumulative number of COVID cases in the state rose up to 1,18,949 with 740 news cases being reported in the past 24 hours.
