Mizoram medical students drown while taking bath in Tuirivang river

AIZAWL: Two medical students drowned in a river in Mizoram, while they went to take a bath along with their friends, yesterday.

The students, C Lalbiaknunga aged 21 and PC Lalremliana aged 21, went to Tuirivang river in Kulikawn area here, to take a bath in order to beat the heat.

Their bodies were later fished out by a rescue team.

While Lalbiaknunga was a resident of Champhai Vengthlang,  Lalremliana was a native of Dinthar locality here.

Both were pursuing their Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree at Zoram Medical College (ZMC) in Mizoram.
