AIZAWL: Tragedy struck a Mizoram family when their 21-year-old daughter, who was working in Pune to support the family, died after she fell down from the fourth floor of a building in the city.
B. Lalruatsangi hailing from Lungsen in Lunglei district accidentally fell off from the 4th floor of a building on April 15 last and passed away yesterday around 6 pm at Inamdar Multispeciality Hospital in Pune.
Even as the family is mourning the demise of the girl, their financial instability has compelled them to take loans to pay off the hospital bill.
"Her total bill in the hospital amounts to about Rs 380000 and this amount is paid by lending money from others," a source told InsideNE.
Sangbawihi's parents are said to be financially weak and are requesting their close ones to raise money to be able to pay off the debt.
Sangbawihi's death has cast a pall of gloom in the state of Mizoram and social media is being mobilized to raise funds for the tragedy-stricken family.
