GANGTOK: 3 more persons succumbed to Covid-19 infections in Sikkim in the last 24 hours taking the state's death toll to 115. A person died today morning at STNM Hospital here, while two passed away on Friday, the Government said on Saturday.
A 53-year-old man from Development Area here who died yesterday morning was admitted to the hospital on November 20 after his sample tested positive. He passed away today morning at around 8:40 am.
Likewise, a 56-year-old man from Tadong’s Krishi Bhawan area, who was brought to the emergency department on Friday, passed away shortly.
The patient had no underlying diseases although he was diagnosed with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and Covid pneumonia.

The third casually is a 42-year-old man from the district court area at Sichey. He has declared brought dead by STNM Hospital on Friday evening. His death has also been recorded as Covid death.
Sikkim reported 21 new Covid positive cases on Saturday, while 10 patients were discharged after recovering from the virus.
Nineteen cases out of the total 21 were reported from East district with majority of them from the capital region, while two cases were reported from West Sikkim.
One Army man has also tested positive in East Sikkim. He will be shifted to the army hospital at Bagdogra tomorrow, it was informed. In the West district, two persons from Daramdin have tested positive.
With 21 fresh cases, the total Covid positive cases in Sikkim have reached 5,168 out of which 4,596 have recovered. The active case, as of Saturday, is 367.
