RAIGAD: At least 35 bodies were recovered from a landslide in Talai village, Raigad district of Maharastra on Friday afternoon, an official said.
The three landslides occurred on Thursday evening but due to waterlogging and washed-away roads, the rescue crew was unable to access the damaged area.
"At least 35 to 40 people are still trapped. We are attempting to rescue them," official added.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has said that heavy rains in these areas were creating a delay in rescue operations. He inspected the flood situation in Konkan division and Western Maharashtra.
I've ordered the evacuation and relocation of persons who live in locations where landslides are a possibility, Thackeray said .
As the roads and bridges in Chiplun are damaged, the NDRF and other rescue teams are having difficulty getting to the flood-affected districts. The situation continues to be tense.
