4.2 magnitude earthquake jolts Mokokchung in Nagaland

KOHIMA: An earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale hit Mokokchung district of Nagaland today.

The medium-intensity earthquake reportedly occurred 77 km southeast of Mokokchung at 10:06 am on Sunday, (March 21), said the National Centre for Seismology in an official statement.

While the depth of the quake was 10 km, the coordinates of the epicentre are 25.85 (latitude) and 95.08 (longitude)

No damages to life or property have been reported so far.
