4 Nigerian Nationals Held in Tripura for Illegal Entrynigerian

Guwahati, November 3, 2019:

Four Nigerian nationals were arrested on Satuday from Agartala rail station in Tripura by Government Railway Police staff during a routine search. While searching, they caught the four Nigerians in a train.

The GRP officials said that they seized Agartala-Guwahati tickets from their possession.

The detainees have been identified as: Okafor Obiorah Michel (23), Igbanugo Odikpo Donatus (28), Madubuku Onyedika Chukwu Stanley (29) and Piterson Wilson (27).

Among those, Piterson Wilson does not have a passport. According to GRP, the other three have the passport, but they don't have the Visa to enter India. They only have the Visa of Nigeria to Bangladesh.

It has come to be known that they are all footballers and had come to Bangladesh to play football. They were headed to Guwahati to play football for a local club.

The GRP has sent them to the Amtali police station and they will produced in Court on Sunday.
