MUMBAI: In a video that surfaced on Twitter, a 6-year-old was seen nearly mowed down by a speeding train in Mumbai's Vangani station, fortunately, a railway pointsman saved the life of the 6-year-old boy with his bravery.
In the video, the minor was seen fallen on the track who was attempting to climb up onto the platform, while the mother was visually impaired and she was unable to save her child, and was shouting for her child’s life.

Meanwhile, train no. 01302 Up (Udyan Express) was rapidly approaching on the same track, and as the child was so small, he couldn't get up on the platform.
Meanwhile, the railway pointsman identified as Mayur Sakharam Shelke was seen saving the 6-year old’s life putting himself in danger.
As soon as he noticed the baby boy fallen in the track, Shelke swung into action right away and ran towards the child. He lifted the child pushed him onto the platform, then climbed onto the platform himself in a fraction of a second.

Shelke’s prompt action and mental foresight saved a child's life.
Piyush Goyal, Minister of Railways, applauded and thanked Shelke for his bravery in saving a child's life.
He also stated that his work cannot be compared to any prize or monetary value, but that he will be rewarded for inspiring humanity through his work.
