Sikkim Reports 249 Fresh Cases of Covid-19 in a Single Day

Sikkim on Thursday reported 249 new Covid-19 cases taking the state's total count to 11994.  Currently, the state stand at 3122 active cases.

A total of 216 Covid-19 patients recovered within 24 hours taking the state's cumulative recovered cases to 8655. Likewise, 3 deaths were also reported marking the state’s death tally to 217.

East District recorded 121 new cases, while the West district recorded 40, the South district and the North district recorded 75 and 13 new cases respectively.

A total of 676 samples were tested  out of which 217 samples were tested through Rapid Antigen Test RAT. Among the samples 89 tested positive for Covid-19. Out of the 6 samples tested through TRUNAT/ CBNAAT, one positive case was reported.  A total of 159 tested positive out of the 453 samples tested through RT-PCR.

13 new patients have been admitted at STNM, District Covid Hospital, and 12 at CRH Manipal. Likewise, 8 new admissions were done at Covid Care Centre 6 at Namchi Girls School, South Sikkim, 1 at Khel Gaon East Sikkim, and 1 at Mangan District Hospital North Sikkim.
