Speaking at the sideline of Adi Students’ Union (AdiSU) President, Nang Gao’s victory party, Alo Libang, Minister Rural Development & Panchayati Raj and Tapir Gao, State BJP President said that, AdiSU should not waste time and energy in hampering the developmental process of the government by filing RTI and rather be the party to the development of the society and the state.
While addressing the gathering, especially the students of AdiSU, both Libang and Gao suggested the student union to play a proactive role in pushing forward the developmental activities of the area and the state. While Gao took reference of Nyishi Elite Society who are doing enough to refrain any union or organization to put hurdles in developmental works at entire Seppa side as there has instances where many individual student leaders or unions are seen in filing RTI just to disrupt the ongoing works thereby halting the project unnecessarily. “Think positive, act positive”, advised Gao to students.
Libang also laid emphasis on better development of the region and urged the student community to be party in the development of the state. He also took reference of some delay in Panchayat election which will be declared after finalization.
As a host MLA, local legislator, Er. Tatung Jamoh, Parliamentary Secretary for Agriculture & Fisheries also advised the students to be the torch bearer of the society as they would be the one upon whose shoulder the entire area and state is dependant. He also appealed ABK to play good role in selecting public choice good leader for election as multiple candidates contest leads to unnecessary expenses during election. Adi Baane Kebang President, Advocate Tony Pertin also spoke and ABK and its frontal wings like AdiSU will always work for development of the region and the state. “In the past also we have restricted our youths from disrupting developmental works. And we will never allow our frontal wings to go astray to mint money for them, we will not let any disruption in people friendly projects like road, hydro project etc”, added Pertin.
Earlier during welcome speech, the Director Elementary Education, Tapi Gao also urged the student community of AdiSU to be supportive of government plans which are for overall and rapid development of the state. There have instances of many student leaders unnecessarily disrupting the development. For any serious issue, the matter could be negotiated and solved without calling bandh, strike and halting development, added Gao.
Alo Libang, Lombo Tayeng, advisor to CM, Tapir Gao, Er. Tatung Jamoh, Kaling Moyong, ABK President, advocate Tony Pertin, Secretary General, Bodong Yirang all participated in a plantation program in the compound of GSS Bamin. AAPSU General Secretary, Tobom Dai, ABKYW President, Aling Pinggam, PRI leaders of the area, Gaon Buras also attended.
A one minute silence was also observed in respect of departed soul of late Tanong Tamuk, AdiSU leader. AdiSU President, Nang Gao also assured to give full support and cooperation to the government in regard to developmental works like that of Road construction etc.
