Air Marshal R D Mathur appointed Eastern Air Command Chief

Shillong, March 1, 2019:

Air Marshal Rajiv Dayal Mathur will take over as Air Officer Commander-in-Chief, Eastern Air Command at Shillong from today. Prior to this, he was Senior Air Staff Officer (SASO), South Western Air Command at Gandhinagar.

Meanwhile, Kargil War Hero Air Marshall Raghunath Nambiar will take over as Western Air Command Chief in national capital New Delhi. Air Marshal Raghunath Nambiar is credited for shooting five of the eight Laser Guided Bombs on the Pakistani positions during the Kargil war from his plane.
