New Delhi: Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Thakur interacted with the World Youth Archery Championship winners and thanked them for making the country proud, during an event on Tuesday.
The archery meet in Wroclaw, Poland earned a total of 15 medals for Team India: 8 gold, 2 silver and 5 bronze.
Thakur praised the country's manifold and well-established talent pool at the grassroots level.

The decisions made under the vision of Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi to build schemes like Khelo India to foster and nurture grassroots level talent are yielding achievements in tournaments like this, said Anurag Thakur.
"It's inspirational to see so many of our youngsters around the country bringing home medals in a variety of sports and it gives us great hope for the future. I congratulate all of the young archers and wish them success in their next competitions. As they make the move to the senior team, they will be given every possible support to compete at a high level," Anurag Thakur added.
The Cadet Compound Women's Team, the Cadet Compound Men's Team, the Junior Recurve Men's Team, the Cadet Compound Men's Team, the Cadet Recurve Mixed Team, the Junior Recurve Mixed Team and Komolika Bari, who won gold in the Junior Recurve Women's Individual event, were among the gold medalists.
