AR apprehends woman with drugs worth Rs 29 lakh in Manipur

Imphal, November 24, 2018:

A huge quantity of drugs worth Rs 29 lakh was seized by troops of the Assam Rifles from Khudenthabi in Manipur.

According to Assam Rifles (AR), during a routine checking, the troops spotted a woman moving suspiciously in an autorickshaw. The troops stopped the vehicle and after thorough checking, the team recovered a massive amount of contraband drugs from her possession.

She was carrying almost 9,960 WIY drugs in two pillows which amounts to Rs 29.88 lakh.

The woman was identified as Nemneilhing Baite, a resident of Tengnoupal.
