Areca nuts worth over Rs 46 lakh seized in Mizoram's Champhai

CHAMPHAI: Assam Rifles (East), seized a huge contraband areca nuts from the general area Melbuk - Champhai in Mizoram on September 22.

There is a total of 240 bags of areca nuts.

The approximate cost of the recovered areca nuts is Rs 46,79,200.

The operation was carried out by a joint team of Assam Rifles and Customs Department, Champhai based on specific information.
