SRINAGAR: On the auspicious occasion of Eid-Ul-Adha as a gesture for promoting Peace, Harmony, and Compassion in the true spirit of the festival, India and Pakistan Armies exchanged sweets along the Line Of Control (LoC).

Armies of both the countries held a Flag meeting at Kaman Aman Setu, Uri, and Tithwal Crossing on Kishanganga River in Tangdhar, Kupwara.

The event was held strictly in accordance with the Line of Control Ceasefire Agreement.

The sweets exchange, according to an official, is gesture that both countries appreciate and is expected to go long way in encouraging peace, harmony, and compassion in the true spirit of the holiday, with the promise of brighter future ahead.

The recently created tranquilly along the LoC as result of the ceasefire deal has brought affection between the two neighbours, which has been seen on multiple occasions.
India is celebrating the festival of Eid-Ul-Adha with COVID-induced limitations on mass gatherings amid the pandemic for the second successive year.
Therefore, devotees were seen praying in Mosques compiling COVID-19 protocols.
