The Academic Board of Adi Bane Kebang (Apex & appellate body of Adi society/tribe) organized its Annual Excellence Award 2018 on Saturday, 16th June 2018 at auditorium of College of Horticulture & Forestry, Pasighat to honour the toppers in AISSE, AISSCE, JEE, NEET, Gold Medalist, Doctorate awardees, Group-A Officers and other achievers in various other fields.
The mega award programme was attended by Alo Libang, Minister, Health and Family Welfare, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Government of Arunachal Pradesh as Chief Guest, who while congratulating the awardees, hailed the Academic Board for bringing up such a noble initiative which will go a long way in promoting talent and doing more for the societies by the achievers across Adi belts. “Through such programmes we can contribute to the growth of the state” said Libang. He also further said that education sector is on top priority of the present state government under Chief Minister, Pema Khandu.
While Kaling Moyong, Pasighat East MLA cum Parliamentary Secretary for Disaster Management, also lauded the initiative of Academic Board of ABK and appealed the Adi Bane Kebang as a community organization to be an active partner to state's development. He also congratulated all the awardees and the proud parents present during the occasion. On his Presidential speech, ABK President, Tony Pertin also largely lauded the organizers and said “we need to work more on such perspectives to contribute as a community to the development of Arunachal Pradesh”.
While, Dr David Gao, Member Secretary, Academic Block ABK cum Organizing Chairman, Academic Excellence Award-2018 informed that, all together 96 awardees were honored along with their parents. One of the Awardee Miss Sonia Ketan who recently got selected as Judicial Magistrate First Class(JMFC) under APPSC while gratifying Adi Bane Kebang for the initiative, said that, such programmes builds confidence among us and encourages us to be more proactive in contributing to state's progress. While, Mrs Olen Megu Damin, one of the recipient of Achiever's award in the field of Culture and Social sector expressed her happiness saying that, this recognition from ABK is more prestigious than any other awards and she is now encouraged to work more.
Apart from meritorious students, achievers from other fields were also honoured. Shri Taka Tamut, Shri Kishon Tekseng, Dr Manju Darang, Major Ponung Doming, Shri Pumto Perme, Shri Taloko Darang, Shri Ojing Aje, Shri Pangkeng Pertin and Mrs Olen Megu Damin were the proud recipients.
Shri Jongge Yirang, DDSE East Siang was also honoured with the Best Performing Educationist Award for his sincerity and initiatives toward education sector. Under Yirang, the education scenario of East Siang district is seemingly improving.
Shri Tami Tali, Shri Tater Siram and Shri Ano Pertin were also awarded the Best Performing Teachers Award 2018 for their dedication and sincerity toward their duties. Shri Kangkep Perme, National Teachers Awardee 2017 was also felicitated on the occasion.
The IGJGHSS Pasighat and GHSS Boleng received the Best Performing Higher Secondary School Award 2018. Whereas GHSS Dambuk and GHSS Mariyang were felicitated with commendation award 2018. Government Secondary School Boleng and GSS GTC Pasighat received the Best Performing Secondary School Award 2018 and UPS Runne, Little Lily School and UPS Sitang received the Best Performing UPS school award 2018. The award carries a citation, memento and cash awards.
Among the private schools Siyom Valley School and Siang Model school received the Best Performing Private school Award 2018 based on their performance and infrastructure.
The programme was also attended by Shri Tamiyo Tatak, DC East Siang and various other dignitaries. The annual mega event concluded with a good note to conduct such honouring programme in near days in better ways with a sole objective to promote more result oriented achievements in all front among the Adis who in turn will help the society and the state in development.
