As part of its endeavour to make its free services accessible to all sections of the society, the Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority along with the District Legal Services Authority, Yupia had organized a five-day legal awareness camp at Dree ground, Papu Nallah here from July 1 last coinciding with the Dree celebrations.
During the festival, the Legal Services Authority with help of Legal Aid Counsels and Para Legal Volunteers provided counselling and legal assistance to the visitors at the stall, on daily basis.
Altogether, 310 people visited the stall and were provided with legal information in the form of pamphlets, brochures of various laws including information on availability of free legal aid and competent services and facilities provided by the Legal Services Authority in the State. During the programme, a total of 20 applications were received for marriage registration.
