In a move to functionalize the North Eastern Institute of Folk Medicine, Pasighat under Mnistry of AYUSH Government of India which is only such institute across the North East and whole of India, the authorities of the ministry is now accelerating the recruitment process of the institute so as to bring the institute in use which has not been activated yet despite its completion couple of years ago.
A team from Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India headed by Under Secretary, Amit Ranjan visited the NEIFM, Pasighat on 25th May, to speed up the process of recruitment of staffs and doctors for the institute. While talking to this reporter, Ranjan said that, the advertisement of the vacancies and other requirements have already been issued by the Director of the institute and very shortly the recruitments of Doctors, Botanist, staffs for IT and others will begin. When asked on the infrastructures of the institute, Ranjan said that the basic required infrastructures are already in place and rest will gradually develop after functionalization of the institute. The location of the institute is very beautiful and the institute will of great use here once starts services, added Ranjan.
Meanwhile, Director of NEIFM, Pasighat Pekyom Ringu, IFS said that, he is making all out efforts to process all the so far delaying files while mobilizing the officials at New Delhi for early start of the institute which if once commences service will not only serve patients from Arunachal, but also it will serve the patients from whole of North-East and rest of the country. When asked about giving preferences to qualified locals in the job of the institute, Ringu said the giving of more preference to locals would be good, but the ministry has certain recruitment rules.
