ITANAGAR: The Arunachal education department on Friday announced to reopen educational institutions in the state for classes 8 to 11 from January 4. The decision was taken in a cabinet meeting held on December 15.
It was informed that the funds for sanitizing materials in order to start these classes shall be met by the deputy commissioners from the allocation given by the department of rural development.

According to sources, the deputy commissioners will make necessary arrangements in coordination with district education and health authorities for implementation of standard operating procedures and ensuring adequate safety for students in schools once class VIII, IX & XI are re-opened.
Coaching institutions in Arunachal shall be allowed to operate with immediate effect without hostel, subject to following of standard operating procedures issued by health and education department.
