ASSAM: ART AND PAINTING WORKSHOP AT ASSAM DON BOSCO UNIVERSITY

The Department of Mass Communication, Assam Don Bosco University (ADBU) organised an ‘Art and Painting Workshop for the nearby students of Kamarkuchi on 29th April 2018.

Mr. Tshering Darjiand a student of MSW, and a Creative Art Lecturer at the Samtse College of Education (SCE), Royal University of Bhutan (RUB) along with Ms Bhamini Kashyap a student of the department of Language Studies (English), Assam Don Bosco University, and completed her M.A. in Fine Art from Arts and Craft Society, Rabindra Bhavan, Guwahati were the resource persons for the event under the guidance of Dr.  Neelpavan Baruah. She has won several national awards and had the privilege of representing India in an exhibition held in ‘The National Art Gallery, London, United Kingdom. During the workshop Ms Bhamini interacted with the students and asked them few questions about the area of their interest.

Mr. Dorji on the other hand demonstrated few pictures to explain the students and the way it has to be done.

Few parents, who were present were delighted and expressed their joy at seeing their children drawing so well.  Some children expressed that they would come to learn every Sunday if it is being organised.
