ASSAM: MASS SATYAGRAHA OBSERVED IN KOKRAJHAR

In demand to dilute the Citizenship Amendment Bill 2016 Mass Satyagraha was done by collective efforts of 28 ethnic student organisations. The All Assam Students Union along with 28 organizations staged mass satyagraha for dismantling the Citizenship Amendment Bill 2016. Under the initiative of Kokrajhar district students union,  AABSU, All Nath Yogi Students Union, All Assam Sautal Students Union, Labour Union,  All Assam Gariya - Mariya National Union,  All Assam Gorkha Students Union, All Rabha Students Union, All BTC Hutradhar Yuva Manch along with other organizations the protest was organized to voice against the Citizenship Amendment Bill 2016. All the leaders of the organizations at the Children's park in Kokrajhar district spoke at length about the repercussion the bill will have and that giving citizenship based on religious affiliation will never be accepted.
