In yet another act meant to heap the people of Manipur, the Singhat Battalion of the Assam Rifles under the aegis of the Churachandpur Sector of the Assam Rifles handed over fifteen water sintexes to people of L Kanan village under Singhat sub-division to ensure water supply in the area. They also provided connecting pipes.
People of L Kanan, which is located along the Indo-Myanmar border, have been facing scarcity of water and there is also lack of water storage facility. The measure is a part of the army’s Op Sadbhavna project, which was originally launched in Jammu and Kashmir in 1998.
