IMPHAL: The 22 Sector AR/IGAR(East) of the Assam Rifles visited the children of IWCF Tamenglong's Child Care Homes to spread a message of friendship and share festive joy with the people of the district on Easter Day.

Easter celebrations were also held in Azuiram, Dikhuiram and Gelnel, which are all remote places.

Locals in these areas have participated enthusiastically in Easter festivities, as did soldiers.

Due to COVID-19 limitations, the battalion's troops were joined by a very special guest to share the festivities. These kids brought a lot of happiness and joy to the AR Camp.

A special prayer service was held at the unit church for the well-being of mankind, as well as to confess our sins and seek forgiveness from God. Children and troops participated in a variety of enjoyable games. The Easter eggs were hidden in the Peter Bunny made at the game site for the kids.

These props drew the attention of these distinguished visitors. This outreach to children brought not only a pious smile to their innocent faces, but also a bundle of joy and a long-lasting friendship with the Assam Rifles.

The 44 Assam Rifles has been reaching out to these children on a regular basis, providing them with essential foods, conducting sanitation drives, and constructing recreational facilities at their compound.

The locals were overjoyed and shared their appreciation for the Assam Rifles' gesture, which they saw as a significant step toward getting the powers closer to the people and fostering peace.

The Assam Rifles' sharing and love would undoubtedly strengthen the bond of friendship with the local population. The meaning of Easter is connecting and caring for people from all walks of life.

Easter Sunday is one of the most joyous occasions for Christians all over the world. It is also known as Pascha or Resurrection Sunday, and it commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, as recorded in the Bible.
