This advisory has been shared on Facebook, Twitter, and Whatsapp, among other social media networks.

There is no such advisory on the ICMR's official website, and it is a hoax note.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has published guidelines that state that "hands should be washed properly after handling food packages and before feeding," according to the WHO. As a result, the assertion that you should not eat outside for a year is incorrect.

What are the guidelines given by WHO :

• Wash your hands often. Use soap and water or an alcohol-based hand rub to clean your hands.

• Keep a safe distance away from anyone coughing or sneezing.

• If legal distance isn't possible, wear a mask.

• Keep your hands away from your eyes, nose, and mouth.

• If you cough or sneeze, cover your nose and mouth with your bent elbow or a tissue.

• When you're sick, stay at home.

• Seek medical help if you have a fever, cough, or trouble breathing.
