Dubai: Australian men’s team finally delivered on the shortest format of the game on the eve of November 14, since its inception in 2007. New Zealand were completely outplayed by a determined Australian side who chased down 172 runs with a over and a ball to spare.
Mitchell Marsh was the player of the match with his unbeaten knock of 77 in just 50 balls.
The tournament defied all the predictions as the Kangaroos were not the clear favorites before the start of the tournament. The tournament was a huge turnover for David Warner as he silenced his critics ending up as the Player of the Tournament.
