Bappi Lahiri hospitalised after testing COVID-19 positive

MUMBAI: Veteran singer and music composer Bappi Lahiri has tested positive for the novel coronavirus, and he has been admitted at the south Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital.

The musician is currently under observation.

His daughter Reema Lahiri Bansal said in a statement that, despite utmost caution, Bappi Lahiri has been detected with mild Covid symptoms

She said due to his age, he was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital under the supervision of Dr. Udwadia as a precautionary measure.

“He'll be fine and back at home soon. Thank you for always remembering him in your prayers,” she added.

Bappi Lahiri has sought the blessings and wishes of his fans, friends, and all from India and abroad, the statement continues.

“On behalf of Bappi Da, we are relaying Bappi Da's message to all of his well-wishers and fans: "Stay healthy, stay blessed,” it added.

Recently, Bappi registering for the Covid-19 vaccine, urged his followers to register themselves for the vaccine and stay safe.
