NEW DELHI: A Delhi-based Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader suspected to committed suicide by hanging himself in a park near his residence.
The deceased has been identified as GS Bawa (58), was a resident of Fateh Nagar in West Delhi.
He was a former vice-president of BJP in West Delhi.
GS Bawa was found hanging from a grill at a lake inside a park in Delhi's Subhash Nagar on Monday evening.

The incident came to light after locals noticed his body hanging inside the park around 6 pm and police following which police reached the spot.
According to reports, the BJP leader may have committed suicide as a result of domestic issues, but neither the police nor the party has stated the reason for his death as of yet.
No suicide note has been recovered so far.
The body has been sent for post-mortem.
