A joint team of Moreh Police and Assam Riffles recovered a remote-controlled IED in Moreh near the Indo-Myanmar border on Monday evening.
Reports said a black bag was found lying abandoned in front of a shop near Moreh branch of United Bank of India. Thereafter, a shopkeeper complained to the police.
Thereafter, the joint team arrived and found the bomb in the bag, which was later defused by a special bomb squad from Imphal on Tuesday morning near Houlemphai village.
