NEW DELHI: Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi today revealed via a tweet that he has tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
Gandhi, who has been on the campaign trail for the Congress party during the ongoing Assembly polls across 5 states and UT (Puducherry).
Gandhi has appealed to all those who have come in contact with him to follow the safety protocols and stay safe.
"After experiencing mild symptoms, I’ve just tested positive for COVID. All those who’ve been in contact with me recently, please follow all safety protocols and stay safe," he wrote in his tweet.
This comes moments after Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal entered isolation after his wife Sunita tested positive for the dreaded virus.
According to reports, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal isolated himself after Sunita’s test reports came back positive for the Covid-19 infection. However, the Delhi CM is yet to release an official statement.
Back in June 2020, Arvind Kejriwal had got himself tested for Covid-19 infection after he developed a fever and sore throat. His, however, tested negative for the infection.
