Breaking: Coronavirus Alpha & Eta variants found in Mizoram

AIZAWL: Barely a month after detection of the coronavirus Delta Variant in Mizoram, two more variants of the virus have been found in the state.

According to Dr. Pachuau Malsawma, coronavirus Alpha Strain (B.1.6172) and Eta Strain (B.1.529) has been found in Mizoram.

Both cases have been detected in state capital Aizawl.

Dr Pachuau Malsawma is IDSP Surveillance Officer, State Nodal Officer on COVID-19, the Department of Microbiology,Govt. Of Mizoram.
