Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh on Suday launched the ‘Rabi Campaign 2018’ at Haotal Pangei, Imphal East with an aim to help the farmers to increase their productivity and achieve higher yield of various crops during Rabi season.
Singh said that Rabi campaign would have positive impact on the economy of the State and he would personally monitor the updates and improvement of the initiative every week.
He maintained that the government, private agencies and farmers need to work collectively so as to increase the production of agricultural and allied products. The government is planning to provide 100 percent subsidy to those deserving farmers on providing loans and procurement of machineries.
Chief Minister stated that the government is working tirelessly to uplift the lives of the people and to bring positive changes in the State. It is the vision of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to double farmers' income by 2022 in the country.
