SHILLONG: Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma today laid the foundation of the most awaited greater Baghmara water supply project.
The project is an estimate worth Rs 63.50 crore funded under the North East Special Infrastructure Development Scheme (NESIDS) of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER).
The projects aimed at fulfilling the aspirations of the residence of South Garo hills for potable drinking water.

The chief minister yesterday laid foundations for the construction of two roads — Nengmandalgre to Daribokre (Rs 70.55 crore)and Nengmandalgre- Cherangre to Sisobibra road (Rs 12.06 crore) — under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) roads at East Garo hills.
