Croc goes on a stroll in Karnataka, instantly becomes an internet star

BANGALORE: In a bizarre incident, a

crocodile was spotted strolling through a village in Karnataka immediately becoming a viral star on social media platforms.

Several videos of this unusual walk have been doing rounds on social media platforms intriguing the netizens.

While some considered it fascinating, for some it was a matter of concern as they believe that the reptile must have got stranded.

Reportedly, the video was first shared by a forest official on Twitter in which the reptile was seen strolling leisurely down the road of a village in Dandeli town which is located near Dandeli wildlife sanctuary.

The croc, believed to have come from Kali river, continued his walk on the streets for over 30 minutes.

As per reports,  the Forest Department officials were successful in capturing the crocodile and let it in in the river.

“The Kali river is adjacent to the village and hence this is a habitat of crocodiles. They have made it their home and lay eggs there. Once in a while, they spot an opening and climb over it to reach the streets nearby,” Ramu Gouda, Deputy Range Forest Officer (RFO), Dandeli said in a report.
